HGTV alum Keith Bynum starred alongside Evan Thomas for five seasons on “Bargain Block” before the network announced it was canceling the hit show.
After voicing his frustration after learning the news, Bynum is now teasing fans with his new “projects.”
Bynum has been keeping fans in the loop since HGTV pulled the plug on “Bargain Block” in June. The home renovation star shared a series of photos via Instagram on November 2, captioning the post, “Been a fun week! 9 states visited, got to see my dad, my sister, my niece, Texas, Vegas, LIZ, and of course Evian. Excited to show yall some of the projects!”
Among the photos from his road trip, Bynum included snaps from various renovation projects, including a new roof and a gutted kitchen.
Loyal fans showered the men with love and pleaded in the comments section for HGTV to renew their show. “Miss you guys…Your fans are still with you 100%…HGTV will realize the error … Keep your dreams alive your fans will follow,” one follower wrote. “You all are greatly missed. Glad that you are having a good journey to different cool places. Take care!” another wrote.A third added, “I miss you all, can’t wait to see what is next for you.”Bynum took to Instagram after getting word that “Bargain Block” would not be returning after season 5.
“Our entire business and lives have been put through the ringer at the hands of a giant corporation, yet we persist lol. Though you may not be seeing us for much longer on HGTV, we’re excited that we’ve built such an amazing base of followers and we’re very excited about the future,” he wrote on June 22. “Everyone always told us TV is a fickle world and they are very right. Tv is full of a lot of great people but it’s also full of some of the worst people I’ve ever encountered. Evan and I have always tried hard to stick to what we know and what we’re good at which is being ourselves. We love you all and we’re very excited to announce what’s next soon!”
The final episode aired in September, and Evan teased their next chapter at the time.
“It’s sometimes surreal to look back on that time, everything we’ve been through, everything we’ve accomplished, everything that has changed in our lives and in our business, with a lot of it captured for television,” he wrote in a lengthy social media post. “Many people have asked what’s next and the answer is…we’ll see! We are working with some amazing clients on some fun projects, and we can’t wait to show you! Whether those will just be on social media, or some other media….stay tuned.”
